2021 NATIONAL TALENT ID PATHWAY PROGRAM - SYDNEY CAMP SUCCESSFUL
Published Tue 13 Apr 2021
TTA successfully ran the 2021 National Talent ID Pathway Program - Sydney Camp from 03 Apr to 07 Apr 2021 at PCYC Hornsby, Sydney.
This program is managed by Simon Gerada - TTA National Performance Pathways Manager; led by John Murphy - TTA National Head Coach and Eva Jeler - TTA National Pathway Coach; and coached by Paul Zhao, Coaching Director TTNSW and Hongbo Liang, TTA Performance Coach.
Marie Pinkewich, TTA Director; Paul Pinkewich, TTA life member; and Ted David, Vice President of TTNSW welcomed all coaches, all players, all volunteers and all parents from ACT, NSW and VIC. They wished all elite players to achieve their goals at both national level and international level.
This program is aimed at providing opportunities for State Team players to train with National Squad players and receive coaching from National Team coaches. The camp includes:
- 5-day training camp with National Team coaches and National Squad players.
- 10 training sessions total, including match play component.
- The opportunity to show your level against National Squad players with National Coaches observing.
The five day camp was attended by more than 60 junior players and more 20 national squad players, and it was a good display of the young talent currently developing in ACT, NSW and VIC.
Some of the junior athletes involved at the camp will now be looking forward to the National Hopes Week & Challenge in Melbourne on 12-16 April, 2021where they will have the opportunity to potentially be selected for the National Hopes Squad.
