A Big Shout to TTNSW Stars in the ITTF Events

A big shout to TTNSW stars for traveling across the world to compete in the ITTF events.
TTNSW star Yangzi Liu recently played at the WTT Champions Xinxiang 2023 in China during 9 - 15 April 2023. It is an invitation only event for 32 men and women around the world, based on world ranking. Yangzi faced Brazilian Olympian Bruna Takahashi, and came ever so close, going down 12-10, 11-2, 4-11, 6-11, 8-11.
Yangzi Liu was in the fast lane at the WTTChampions Macao 2023 in China during 17 - 23 April 2023 defeating African champion Dina Meshref (EGY, WR 25) 8-11, 11-6, 13-11, 7-11, 11-7. In her Round of 16 match against WR2 Wang Manyu (CHN), Yangzi took it right up to her super star opponent in a tight 10-12, 6-11, 14-16 defeat.
It is Yangzi Liu's career best victory. Well done Yangzi, keep fighting!
Yangzi Liu also competed at the WTT Star Contender Bangkok 2023 in Thailand during 23 - 29 April 2023 with strong victories along the way.

R64, Yangzi Liu def. Adina Diaconu (ROU) 5-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-3, 12-10.
R32, Yangzi Liu lost to Shin Yubin (KOR) 14-16, 7-11, 6-11.
🏓 Women's Doubles
Qual R1, Hyung Jee/Yangzi Liu def. Karoline Mischek/Tin-Tin Ho (AUT/ENG) 11-5, 11-7, 11-8.
Qual R2, Hyung Jee/Yangzi Liu def. Sreeja Akula/Diya Parag (IND) 17-15, 9-11, 13-11, 11-5.
R16, Hyung Jee/Yangzi Liu lost to Miyuu Kihara/Miyu Nagasaki (JPN) 7-11, 3-11, 9-11.
Won Bae and Hwan Bae played at the WTT Youth Contender Spa 2023 in Belgium 17 - 23 April 2023 topping their group and progressing to the main draw.
🏓 Under 19 Boys' Singles: Hwan Bae 3 wins.
🏓 Under 15 Boys' Singles: Won Bae 2 wins.
🏓 Under 15 Boys' Singles: Won Bae 2 wins.
🏓 Under 19 Boys' Singles main draw: Hwan Bae made it to the Round of 64.
🏓 Under 15 Boys' Singles main draw: Won Bae made it to the Round of 16.
🏓 Under 15 Boys' Singles main draw: Won Bae made it to the Round of 16.
Won Bae and Hwan Bae competed at the WTT Youth Contender Metz 2023 in France during 17 - 23 April 2023.
Overall it was another very successful event for TTNSW youngsters as they continue their march up the world rankings.
🏓 Under 19 Boys' Singles: Hwan Bae played well but lost tight matches and didn't progress to the main draw.
🏓 Under 15 Boys' Singles: Won Bae topped his group to progress to the main draw.
🏓 Under 17 Boys' Singles main draw: Won Bae performed very strongly, winning 3 matches on his way to the Round of 32.
🏓 Under 15 Boys' Singles main draw: Won Bae finished at the Round of 32 stage, succumbing to eventual semi finalist.
Overall it was another very successful event for TTNSW youngsters as they continue their march up the world rankings.
