Festival of Table Tennis Comes to Sydney

Table Tennis Australia (TTA) announced that entries are now open for three events in Sydney.
EVENT ONE: 2021 TTA Tour - Sydney on 29-30 May 2021 at Sydney Olympic Park.

TTA CEO Scott Houston said: "We received plenty of positive feedback following last week's announcement around the establishment of the TTA Tour. With entries now open we're looking forward to seeing maximum numbers registering, from both National Squad and non-National Squad athletes alike.
Scott said: "I encourage everyone to enter and take the chance to show your skills on the national stage".
It is expected that TTA Tour - Sydney will attract a number of Australia’s top table tennis players nationally including the top athletes who represented or will represent Australia at the Olympic. Paralympic and Commonwealth Games.
EVENT TWO: 2021 Table Tennis Corporate Cup (TTCC) - Sydney, throughout March and April 2021.
The event is open to all players in the form of companies. All companies with branches in the wider Sydney region are welcome to join. More details and to register: https://www.revolutionise.com.au/ttacorporatecup/events/88928/
TTCC was developed for businesses and organisations across the country to engage employees, build employee communication while also providing strong corporate health and wellbeing benefits.
TTCC - Sydney is expected to attract a number of top international companies such as Google and Zip etc. with the Australian Olympic Committee also participating.
Scott said: “With many organisations across Australia now promoting a safe return to work and welcoming their employees back into their offices, I think it is a perfect time to give people an opportunity to rebuild those meaningful connections and rekindle that sense of corporate community which has been so hard to preserve during 2020.”
EVENT THREE: 2021 National Talent ID Pathway Program - Sydney Challenge, Hornsby PCYC Table Tennis on 3 - 7 April, 2021at 1 Park Lane, Waitara NSW 2077.
The event is open to all junior players in all states and territories, and the members of the National Squad are expected to join the camp.
Key highlights for this 5 DAYS event include:
1.Training camp including training sessions and multiple educational activities.
2.Guest appearances from National Squad, including acting as training partners.
3.The opportunity to interact with the best level players and coaches in Australia.
4.2021 National Talent ID Pathway t-shirt.
NOTE: Players who participate in the event will have the opportunity to be selected to be trained with the 2021 National Squad and the 2021 National Hopes Squad.

TTA National Head Coach (Able-Bodied) John Murphy said: “I’m looking forward to seeing the large pool of next tier athletes show their skills on a national level. There are a lot of players working very hard currently and the more rivalry we have for places in the National Squad, the better it is for everyone”.
