Guidelines for $200 million Play Our Way Grant

The grant guidelines for the Australian Government’s $200 million Play Our Way program are now available. Applicants can begin preparing their submissions ahead of the grant round officially opening next month.
The program will be spread over three years and there are two streams. Full details are available in the guidelines, however in summary:
- Facilities: For projects that establish and improve sporting facilities that are designed for women and girls and further encourage them to take part in sport and physical activity by better meeting their needs.
Applicants will be able to apply for a minimum of $50,000 up to a maximum of $1,500,000 for projects that support new and upgraded facilities, playing areas and spaces for sport and physical activity specifically for women and girls. For Facility projects in small rural towns, remote communities or very remote communities as, the maximum will be $2,000,000 to reflect increased costs in rural and remote areas.
- Participation and equipment: For programs that encourage women and girls to participate and remain involved in sport and physical activity for life, by tackling barriers such as disadvantage or lack of equipment, and for programs that will lead to sustained cultural change in sport.
Applicants will be able to apply for a minimum of $50,000 up to a maximum of $1,000,000 for projects that support modifying and/or developing sustainable and enduring programs to promote women and girls’ participation in sport and physical activity, and/or new or upgraded equipment, specifically for women and girls.
Applications for round one will open in mid-March.
