NSW JUNIOR HOPES TEAM CAP OFF SUCCESSFUL 2021 NATIONAL HOPES TRIP

A tight day of competition capped off a highly successful 2021 National Hopes Week & Challenge at LOOPS Table Tennis. 58 junior players from 7 State/Territory Associations were in action throughout the tournament on 16 April 2021.

NSW State Hopes Team won 3 gold medals. It is the first taste of national competition after COVID-19.

 A summary of all NSW Hopes Team gold medal winners is: Gold Medal of Hopes Girls: Daisy Xie, Gold Medal of Hopes Boys: Leonard Piyachai; and Gold Medal of Mini Hopes Girls: Sophie Zhou.

Moreover, although part of the NSW Hopes Team, Lily Zhang secured the 5th position in Hopes Girls, Elina Chen secured the 6th position in Hopes Girls, Nathan Chan secured the 4th position in Hopes Boys, and Andrew Li secured the 6th position in Hopes Boys.

On behalf of TTNSW, Leonie Whiteford, NSW Junior Team Manager; Paul Zhao, NSW Coaching Director, and Tony Aduckiewicz, President of TTNSW, each congratulated all Hopes players and coaches for the fantastic results, being great ambassadors for TTNSW and for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and fighting spirit throughout.
