NSW JUNIOR HOPES TEAM WON FIVE MEDALS AT 2022 NATIONAL HOPES

A tight day of competition capped off a highly successful 2022 National Hopes Week & Challenge at LOOPS Table Tennis. 76 players born 2010 or later from 7 State/Territory Associations were in action throughout the tournament on 15 April 2022.
NSW State Hopes Team won 2 Gold Medals, 2 Silver Medals and 1 Bronze Medal.
A summary of all NSW Hopes Team medal winners is: Gold Medal of Hopes Girls - Lily Zhang, Silver Medal of Hopes Girls - Melika Seyedeh Mirzadeh, Gold Medal of Hopes Boys - Leonard Piyachai, Silver Medal of Mini Hopes Girls - Jennifer Dou, and Bronze Medal of Mini Hopes Boys - Lachlan Bao.
Moreover, although part of the NSW Hopes Team, Daisy Xie secured the 5th position in Hopes Girls, Zilin Zhang secured the 6th position in Hopes Girls, Andrew Li secured the 7th position in Hopes Boys, and Nathan Chan secured the 8th position in Hopes Boys.
On behalf of TTNSW, Leonie Whiteford, NSW Junior Team Manager; Paul Zhao, NSW Coaching Director, and Tony Aduckiewicz, President of TTNSW, each congratulated all Hopes players and coaches for the fantastic results, being great ambassadors for TTNSW and for demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and fighting spirit throughout. Thank you also to all parents for their support in enabling the trip to be a success.
TTNSW thanks TTA & LOOPS for enabling our players to compete. It is already bearing fruit for this trip. TTNSW looks forward to further strengthening our top junior players’ performance in 2022 national junior championships in July 2022 and beyond.
