NSW Primary Schools Championships

NSW Primary Schools Championships was held on Monday 5 June – at Sports Halls Sydney Olympic Park.
“WOW” (flashing please) – What an amazing day – absolute record entries – Girls – Infants – 7 teams, Junior – 12 teams, Senior – 15 teams – total 34 girls’ teams.
Boys – Infant – 4 teams – Junior – 36 teams – Seniors – 63 teams – a total of 103 boys’ teams – on the day we had – a record – 137 x 2 player teams – 274 – players – plus between 80 to 100 parents & teachers.
We used 44 x tables. A huge thanks to Table Tennis World (Steve) for transporting 10 x extra tables from Hurstville and the Sports Centre (Lauren) for arranging 4 x extra tables.
A big thank you to all the parents and teachers who attended on the day assisting with scoring and progressing the match this support is invaluable.
A huge thanks to Jennifer & Tony for conducting the consolation events a huge task & to Pauline for conducting the infant’s consolation.
A big thanks to Ian for being the tournament controller even with a large number of changes and Ross our school’s development officer for liaising with all the parents and teachers.
The WOW factor – the absolute joy shown by all the kids playing and thoroughly enjoying the experience. The standard of play was amazing even through the consolation events.
