Due to the high standard of the NSW’s U13 girls, this resulted in 3 of the girls not selected in the U13 A or B team being selected for under 17 Girls B team – 2 x girls played U11’s at last years championships and have just progressed to the next age group – both 11 years old a third player 12 years old representing NSW for the first time was also selected in the U17 girls B team(a four player team).
The teams outstanding results are as follows:

They displayed extreme determination in playing outstandingly, matching it with the much bigger and more experienced girls – many sets going to Deuce. On the next table, the NSW Girls A team were closely monitoring the girls efforts. Round 2 saw the girls play the NSW A team. The A team gave no latitude and did not take the girls lightly.
Round 3 played South Australia the results were locked at 3 – matches all. The girls were unlucky to lose 4 – 3.
