TTNSW Successfully Ran TTA Level 1 & Level 2 Coaching Courses

TTNSW successfully ran a TTA Level 2 Coaching Course during 23-26 April 2021 and a TTA Level 1 Coaching Course during 1-2 May 2021 at TTNSW Head Office in Sydney Olympic Park.

TTA National Pathway Coach, Eva Jeler lectured at TTA Level 2 Coaching Course. National Head Coach, John Murphy attended both Level 2 and Level 1 courses, and lectured at TTA Level 1 Coaching Course on National Squad Training site and NSW Junior Training site on 1 May 2021.

Both courses were presented by Cathy Collins who is a TTA Level 3 Accredited Coach & TTA Level 1 & Level 2 Coaching Course Presenter. TTNSW Directors, Ted Devis, Leonie Whiteford, Paul Zhao and Michael Li assisted and supported both courses.

On 1 May 2021, John was pleased to have the opportunity to lecture the new coaches at Sydney Olympic Park, especially to provide training to several NSW junior players, who are joining in the TTA accredited coaching team: Alice Lee, Alex Yeung and Jules Vahl.

Please note that it is now a requirement in Police Community Youth Clubs (PCYC), most council properties, Government Schools and Independent Schools that only accredited persons/coaches  be allowed to coach. TTA Accreditation is also required to attend National Junior Championships as a coach or a captain in NSW State Junior Team.

All coaches in NSW and in Australia must complete the appropriate National Coaching Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) course. Table tennis courses are progressively
